Pertandingan Robotik Kebangsaan (NRC) merupakan salah satu aktiviti kokurikulum di bawah Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia yang memberi penekanan terhadap aspek kreativiti dan inovasi dalam kalangan pelajar, melalui pembelajaran berasaskan pengalaman yang menarik dan menyeronokkan. NRC merupakan usaha berterusan kementerian dalam mempromosi inovasi serta pendidikan dalam bidang sains dan teknologi di sekolah.



Pertandingan ini memerlukan pelajar menggunakan kreativiti serta pelbagai strategi untuk mereka bentuk dan membina robot, sekali gus merupakan pendekatan terbaik yang menggabungkan kepakaran dan inovasi pelajar. Hal ini adalah sejajar dengan hasrat kerajaan untuk melahirkan lebih ramai pakar yang berkemahiran tinggi, berpengetahuan, dinamik serta mampu bersaing dalam bidang industri sains dan teknologi yang sedang mengalami perkembangan pesat.

Di peringkat sekolah, NRC telah berjaya meningkatkan pemahaman serta memupuk minat pelajar terhadap bidang-bidang sains, matematik, teknologi dan kejuruteraan sejak pertandingan itu mula diperkenalkan pada tahun 2005. NRC telah berjaya membantu menjadikan mata pelajaran yang berkaitan lebih menarik dan menyeronokkan untuk dipelajari. Justeru, saya ingin mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan terima kasih kepada Sasbadi Sdn. Bhd. atas kerjasama dan komitmen yang dipemerkan dalam membantu Kementerian Pelajaran menjayakan pertandingan ini.

Tahniah juga diucapkan kepada semua pihak yang terlibat di atas kejayaan menganjurkan NRC bagi kali yang ke-8 pada tahun ini. Saya berharap agar peluang menyertai NRC akan dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya oleh pelajar supaya matlamat melahirkan modal insan yang holistik, berkualiti dan inovatif akan dapat dicapai.

To provide a powerful learning platform to enable students to cope with skills those are essential for success in the 21st century.


OBJECTIVES

  • To help students build a solid foundation in mathematics, science, technology, design and ICT through hands-on experience or investigation.
  • To train students to work together to solve challenging problems in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration.
  • To enable students to develop logical and systematic thinking as they plan and implement programmes through the programming of robots.
  • To enhance students’ creativity in problem solving and raise their awareness of the many possible ways of arriving at a desired outcome.
  • To promote competition in robotics amongst Malaysian school students as a healthy and fulfilling pastime.

MISSION

To develop and strengthen critical and creative thinking and social skills those are essential prerequisites for success in further studies and future careers. These skills include:
